Alternatives for Germany

What are the alternatives for Germany – and Europe?
On October 15 the AEJ UK will host East German-born author Katja Hoyer who will examine how radical parties of both the left and right are winning mass support with harsh anti-immigrant policies, and discuss what Germany’s political fragility means for Europe as a whole.
Hoyer is a visiting research fellow at King’s College London, a columnist for the Berliner Zeitung, and writer for other European and U.S. media.
She is the author of Beyond the Wall: East Germany, 1949-1990 and Blood and Iron: The Rise and Fall of the German Empire, 1871-1918.
AEJ UK lunchtime meetings at London’s Regent’s University are open to journalists, academics and Europe specialists and guests with pre-registration by email to cas.jenkins@gmail.com
